ETERNITY
"We are Keepers of History, Enforcers of the Present Age, Guardians of the Future...We are the Keepers of Eternity"
Constitution

The Keepers Code

Do not interfere in the destiny of another individual, group, association, or society unless expressly asked to do so by that entity's Historian.

Do not allow Outsider Interference in another individual's, group's, association's, or society's destiny.

Endeavor to facilitate communications between ourselves and the various individuals, groups, associations, and societies of the galaxy.

Do no act in a manner unbefitting a Keeper of the Library of Eternity nor tolerate anyone who does.

Keep accurate records of the various individuals, groups, associations, and societies that are affiliated with the Library of Eternity.

By following the code, we ensure that we and those involved with us can maintain pleasant and beneficial relations with one another.

There are but a few ranks among the Keepers of the Library of Eternity and while a rank may be either lower or higher, all are equally important to maintaining the efficiency of the LoE. The ranks are as follows:

-Sentinel: While this may be the lowest of Keeper ranks, it is a very important position. It is the task of the Sentinel to monitor those involved with the LoE and ensure that no wrong is done. Sentinels will often be required to mediate disputes between Societies and help both parties reach a peaceful solution. It should also be noted that Sentinels will often be the Historian for an involved party.

-Chronicler: While this may be the middle of Keeper ranks, this position is no more or less important than the others. It is the task of the Chronicler to acquire and maintain accurate records of parties involved with the LoE. It is the Chronicler that makes communication between parties possible. Chroniclers may also at times call upon Sentinels and Members to aid in the shaping of a grand destiny.

-Arbiter: While this is the highest of Keeper ranks, it is also no more or less important that the other positions. There may be one or more Arbiters at a given time, however there will always be an odd number of them. It is the Arbiter's task to ensure the efficient functionality of the LoE. All of the major decisions regarding Eternity are made by the Arbiters. Decisions on misconduct and code violations, as well as the discipline of such, are also by the Arbiter(s). It is the Arbiter who interviews potential Keeper recruits and assigns them an appropriate rank. The Arbiter(s) also assists the other two positions in their tasks as needed. Arbiters are forbidden from using their position to control or cause trouble for another party. Such an act is a violation of the code. It is because of all this that Arbiters are required to be even-tempered and not easily swayed by emotions. An extreme strength in multi-tasking and being able to completely fill the roles of both the Sentinels and the Chroniclers is also a requirement. It is the Arbiters that ensure that Eternity remains true to it's mission and vision.

Keepers and Members of the Library of Eternity are to always be respectful and understanding of each other. This is not a one-way rule. A fellow Keeper/Member is not required to be understanding of you if you refuse to be understanding of them. Violations of the code are considered to be an unwillingness to be understanding of the LoE as a whole. Violators of the code will be removed of all affiliation with the LoE and branded as untrustworthy to all affiliated parties.
We may be strict in following the code, but it is for the benefit of all involved with the Library of Eternity. We do not forge destinies for others but merely assist them in meeting their destinies as well as meeting others who may share their destiny. Violating the code is a hindrance to not just the LoE, but all affiliated parties as well. Therefore, let us be sure to maintain good relations with our affiliated parties as well as our fellow members of the Library of Eternity.
